There are four pitchers who did not debut in the first team

 Son Hyun-ki (2nd round, no. 19), Kim Yun-ha (1st round, no. 9), Kim Yeon-ju (3rd round, no. 29), and Jeon Jun-pyo (1st round, no. 8). These are the rookie pitchers that Kiwoom Heroes sent to the game against the LA Dodgers on the 17th. Including Joo Seung-woo, a third-year pitcher who joined the team as a first-round pick in 2022, as many as five prospects with less than three years of experience participated. The result was 11 4 outs, 17 hits, and a 3-14 loss.

   
This match was prepared as a special game (evaluation match) for the ‘2024 Major League World Tour Seoul Series’. The special game consists of a total of 4 games, and the national team 'Team Korea', made up of young players, will face the San Diego Padres on the 17th and the Dodgers on the 18th. In addition, among the 10 teams in the KBO League, only two teams, Kiwoom and LG Twins, received special game opportunities.

Son Hyun-ki came out from the beginning of the 5th inning and allowed 4 hits and 3 walks while getting one out. Third-year pitcher Joo Seong-won, who came on the mound next, managed to close out the fifth inning, recording no runs in ⅔ innings, including one strikeout.

The next pitcher, Yunha Kim, came close to having the bases loaded with two outs in the 6th inning when he gave up a hit to the body, a double, and a walk, but ultimately avoided a run by handling Hunter Feduccia's fly ball to right field. However, the 7th inning was not enough. He led to a ground ball missed by Freddie Freeman, but the misfortune of an infield hit by the third baseman led to a run. He gave up a walk to Kike Hernández, a timely hit to Miguel Rojas, and then a sacrifice fly to right field against Austin Barnes.

Afterwards, he walked Miguel Vargas and sent out Jason Hayward with a 2-RBI double, ending the pitching with 5 runs in 1⅓ innings. He then blocked his first opponent, Gavin Lux, with a fly ball to center field, and then allowed Chris Taylor to hit an RBI single to left. Feduccia blocked the pitch with a grounder to second base and finished pitching, allowing only one runner to succeed.
