The tragic end of the Tigers’ 28-year one-club man, the suspicion of Kim Jong-guk’s bribery that even his closest associates had no idea about.

At the club's official event just a week ago, no one within the KIA team noticed former coach Kim Jong-guk's suspicion of bribery. According to head coach Jin Gap-yong, who had worked together with former coach Kim since their days at Korea University, former coach Kim acted as usual without any problem until the KIA team found out about the breach of trust situation. It is truly amazing for Tigers fans, the front office, and the players, who are famous for being the most popular team in the KBO League. 

KIA coaching staff, including head coach Jin Gap-yong, departed for Canberra, Australia, where the first spring camp was held, through Incheon International Airport Terminal 1 on the 29th. The KIA team's main team will leave the country on the evening of the 30th, but tickets for the coaching staff were booked on the 29th, a day earlier. Coaches Jin Gap-yong, Jeong Jae-hoon, Lee Dong-geol, Takeshi, Lee Beom-ho, Hong Se-wan, Park Ki-nam, Cho Jae-young, and Lee Heon-gon plan to arrive in Canberra a day early and check out the local training environment. 

Coach Jin, who suddenly became the general manager of spring camp following the termination of former coach Kim Jong-guk's contract, met with reporters and said, "I haven't seen the players in person, but it will be a lot of chaos. He expressed his mixed feelings, saying, “The players will come tomorrow (30th), so I will prepare well by gathering the team.” 

Coach Jin, former manager Kim's closest associate, also heard the news of former manager Kim's alleged breach of trust through the media. Coach Jin said, “Suddenly, this situation arose. My mind is not ready yet. “I first found out about it through the media, and my heart is very heavy,” he said. “The director was always bright and unobtrusive.
