Pogba confirmed to be banned from playing for 4 years for testing positive for doping

Paul Pogba's four-year suspension for testing positive in a doping test has been confirmed.

Italy's Sky Sports reported on the 29th (Korean time), "The National Anti-Doping Tribunal (TNA) accepted the request of the Anti-Doping Prosecutor's Office and suspended Paul Pogba for four years. He tested positive for testosterone in August last year. Pogba, who was suspended as a precautionary measure, will be disqualified from playing.”

Last year, shocking news was reported. Pogba tested positive in a doping test. At the time, Pogba underwent a doping test after the home opener against Udinese in August. The banned substance detected in Pogba was known to be testosterone. It is a male hormone that temporarily increases exercise effectiveness.

There was an official announcement from the club. Juventus officially announced on its official website last September, "We inform you that Pogba has received a suspension order from the National Anti-Doping Tribunal based on the results of a doping test conducted on August 20." Pogba pleaded guilty and denied using banned substances.

He received a four-year suspension for the charges. Britain's Sky Sports explained, "Italian anti-doping prosecutors requested a ban of up to four years for Pogba's positive testosterone test. Pogba's appeal was not accepted." Pogba is 31 years old this year. In four years, he will turn 35 years old, and it was a punishment that was in fact closer to his retirement.

As the disciplinary action was finally confirmed, he faced the biggest crisis of his career. Italy's Sky Sports explained, "The judicial process has not yet been completed. Pogba plans to appeal this ruling to the Lausanne Sports Arbitration Court."
