Doosan announces Sydney & Miyazaki camp roster
Doosan has released the camp list.
Doosan Bears (CEO Ko Young-seop) will depart for Sydney, Australia, the first training camp, through Incheon International Airport (Flight OZ-601) on Monday the 29th.
The camp has a total of 56 people, including 14 coaching staff, including coach Seung-yeop Lee, and 42 players.
21 pitchers, 4 catchers, 10 infielders, and 7 outfielders participated, and among the rookies, first-round pick pitcher Kim Taek-yeon and sixth-round pick outfielder Jeon Da-min were named. Pitchers Kim Kang-ryul, Kim Myeong-shin, and Choi Seung-yong will begin to warm up at the second-team camp with the coaching staff's encouragement to slowly improve their physical condition.
The first field training will be held from February 1st to 19th. After training at the Blacktown Baseball Stadium in Sydney, Australia, they plan to improve their sense of real-life combat through three games against the Blue and White.
Afterwards, they will return home on February 19th, rest for a day, and then depart for Miyazaki, Japan, their second training destination, on the 21st. In the second camp, a total of 7 games will be played against Japanese professional baseball teams, including participation in the Kuchun Tournament, and 1 game against independent league teams. In particular, on March 3rd, an evaluation match will be played against Softbank Hawks at Fukuoka PayPay Dome. The match on this day will be held in an environment similar to an official match, with paid spectators permitted.
After completing all schedules, the athletes are scheduled to return home on flight OZ157 on March 6.
