 Kim Jong-seok, who played a leading role in the Gimpo sensation last season, was embraced by Chungnam Asan.

The South Chungcheong Asan Professional Football Team announced on the 12th that it had strengthened its strength by recruiting multi-player Kim Jong-seok, a former top scorer.

Kim Jong-seok, a graduate of Pohang Jecheol High School and Sangji University, entered his professional career by receiving priority nomination and joining the Pohang Steelers in 2016. He moved to Ansan Greeners in 2018 and recorded 2 assists in 18 games over two seasons.   

Afterwards, he continued his career as a player for the Gimhae City Hall Football Club, Pyeongtaek Citizens, and Cheonan City Football Club (currently Cheonan City FC). In particular, in the 2021 season, he scored 16 goals in 23 games as a member of the Cheonan City Football Club (currently Cheonan City FC), winning the K3 Best Player Award, top scorer, and best 11 attackers of the season.

The following year, in 2022, he was called by Gimpo FC coach Go Jeong-woon and entered the professional stage again. As a founding member of the team, he played 60 games over two seasons and established himself as Gimpo's core. He also proved his worth by playing a leading role in Gimpo's promotion to the relegation playoffs last year.

Kim Jong-seok, who will be wearing the Chungnam Asan uniform, is a midfielder with outstanding linkage play through flexible skills and a wide range of activities. Above all, he is a multi-attacking resource who can play not only his main position as an attacking midfielder but also a shadow striker. With the addition of Kim Jong-seok, South Chungcheong Asan was able to add weight to the midfield and attack.

Kim Jong-seok, who is about to make a new start in Asan, Chungnam, said, “Every time I played against Asan, Chungnam, I thought they were a really attractive team. It's an honor to be able to come here. “I will prepare well so that the team can reach even higher heights this season and show good play on the field,” he said.

Meanwhile, Kim Jong-seok, who joined the team, is concentrating on the first winter training in the Seogwipo-si area of ​​Jeju Island.
