 Son Heung-min's close friend Sergio Reguilon, who was completely excluded from Tottenham Hotspur's plans, is expected to leave for a second loan after returning from loan.

French media L'Equipe also reported this news and said, "Reguilon is expected to move to Brantford on loan this month. “An agreement is imminent,” he said. 

Reguilon joined Tottenham from Real Madrid in the summer of 2020 for a transfer fee of 30 million euros (about 43.2 billion won). In the 2020-2021 season, he played as the starting left fullback at Tottenham. In the 2021-2022 season, he showed good performance in both offense and defense, recording 2 goals and 3 assists in 25 league games. 

In particular, since he was on the left side, he showed close chemistry with Son Heung-min, who played as a left attacker. They showed great chemistry by celebrating together when Son Heung-min scored. 

However, ahead of the 2022-2023 season, Reguilon was excluded from coach Antonio Conte's options. The position disappeared when Ivan Perisic joined the position. He moved to Atletico Madrid on loan for one season.

Reguilon headed to La Liga, which he was familiar with, but was unable to play many games due to a sports hernia problem and hamstring injury early in the season. He appeared in just 11 games in La Liga, including only two as a starter. 

After returning from his loan, Reguilon left for Manchester United again ahead of the 2023-2024 season. His position virtually disappeared when Destiny Udogi returned from his second loan to Udinese. 

At Manchester United, Reguilon served as a replacement for Luke Shaw, who suffered a long-term injury. He was in the rotation with Diogo Dalot, and Luke Shaw's opportunities to play gradually disappeared as he returned from injury in November of last year.
